This is going on the third page and still no solution. I would suggest calling the manufacturer of the motherboard and telling them about your problem. THis problem is a tough one to troubleshoot over a forum and you are not getting any resolution. I am and have been watching this thread and can not figure it out. Their tech support more than likely will solve this in no time. I know I wish I had the answer but unfortunately do not.

This at this time is the best suggestion I can arrive at.

Thank you ozrom1e I will do it as you say , cuz I was trying to do something in hte Microsoft page but , I,m not sure If I will be succesfull follow some instructins there , they somtimes explain somthings wierd " for me do " as for looking in device manager for some "
This ...."a listed device ?? "Original Configuration???" I just dont get it , if someone can explain me what they mean with listed device? like any device ? wich device ? then the original configuration ?? how to get there ?

Protected-Mode Driver Causing Memory Mismatch
To determine whether a protected-mode device driver is causing a memory mismatch, perform the following steps:
1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double- click System.
2. Click the Device Manager tab.
3. Double-click a listed device, and then click the Original Configuration (Current) check box to clear it. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click No.
4. Repeat step 3 for each listed device.

NOTE: Do not repeat step 3 for devices listed on the System Devices branch. When you disable the hard disk controller, click Yes to restart the computer if the hard disk controller is a Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) device. PCI hard disk controllers cannot be loaded and unloaded dynamically.

For additional information about PCI hard disk controllers, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
ARTICLE-ID: 136106 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/136106/EN-US/)
TITLE : Re-enabling CMD PCI IDE Controller Hangs Computer
5. Restart the computer.
6. After Windows loads, check the memory reported on the Performance tab in System properties.

thanks Guys > if this dont work I wil contact the ASUS tech.
