Red face Windows XP (Modified) theme disappeared from dropdown menu
Hi. My Dad has a problem on his computer to do with fonts and theme.

His computer has two partitions, one being his and the other being my Mum's.

My Mum's partition has a different font. If she looks in display properties she has Windows XP theme whereas my Dad's partition had Windows XP (Modified) theme.

My Dad wanted to change my Mum's partition to 'Windows XP Modified' as well but the option wasn't there. Her font has a difference appearence and appears like there are some pixels missing.

Anyhow to cut a long story short I suggested my Dad change his partition to the basic 'Windows XP' to see if that would make the same pixels missing as on my Mum's partition and he did that. His partition then had the same appearence as my Mum's. The problem now is that when he tried to change his own partition BACK to the Windows XP Modified, it no longer appears on the display properties dropdown menu as an option. So now my Dad is stuck with the same 'inferior' font my Mum has. Their text size is set to large. My Dad has also lost his desktop.

Does anyone know what would cause the Windows XP Modified theme to disappear from the dropdown menu? Anyone know how to restore it?

Thanks.

Was the modified theme a Windows Theme or a third party theme?
