Wow... where to begin....
(Problem 1) Okay, this has been a persistent problem. Mostly when Im playing a game, it happens... the physical memory dump blue screen. Now, in the past Ive gotten that its a RAM problem. 4 sticks of RAM later, I think I can tell you that it is not.
(Problem 2) Other random symptoms. Just before the Windows XP screen when starting up, sometimes I get a black screen with a blinking cursor at the top left that it will sit at.. forever. If I wait 10 minutes with the power off, I can reboot fine. While the cursor is blinking, I can ctrl+alt+del and it will restart but do the same thing.
(Problem 3) Another fun sympton... task manager doesnt respond when I use it. I need to hold in ctrl alt del, then find the process and end it. Not too annoying except that it opens about 100 task managers that I have to close afterwards, and my CPU% is at 100, so everything loads mega slow. (The task manager problem has since been solved, but medical history is important too sometimes)
(Problem 4) Now it seems to momentarily freeze for a second or two before finally catching up with itself. This happens on simple tasks, for instance, like typing on Word. At first, I just shrugged it off as a momentary nuisance, but then I received this:
(Problem 5) Delayed Write Failed
c:\windows\sys32\wbem\repository\fs\mapping2.map
Data lost... maybe hardware problems or network problem.

The link is to screen shots of the blue screen (unfortunately its blurry) and task manager when the computer momentarily freezes. Notice the skyrocket of CPU usage out of no where.
(Problem 6) I heard about memtest, and installed it and went to put it onto a floppy, but my computer is not finding the disk when I put it in. The icon is still there under My Computer, but it won't register when I put in an empty disk. This may have already existed, since I dont use it really.
(Problem 7) Now, my audio is messed up big time. It skips all over and freezes momentarily. The start up audio is even long enough to skip around multiple times.

Almost hate to say it... any ideas? In the past I would just reformat and start over or buy new RAM, but the problems always come back. Not all of them, but many of them. Mostly the sound problems, blue screen, and random freezing. Now, I've gone to Albatron's website and downloaded a BIOS update, but its come in a .BIN file and I cannot figure out how to open it.
