Question CISCO VPN Reason 435 Firewall policy mismatch
Hi,

I have a problem with my Cisco VPN connection since I have installed SYGATE firewall.
I have looked up several forums about that and I unsinstalled both SYGATE and CISCO VPN then I installed CISCO VPN several times but without any success.
At the moment, no firewall is activated on my computer neither Windows XP, neither SYGATE.
The error is persistent :
"SECURE VPN Reason 435 Firewall policy mismatch"
the log file says : "the client did not match the firewall policy ... Cisco Systems integrated client should be enabled or installed on your computer"
this problem leads to the following event: "TrueVector driver: Driver install or load failure: LoadNTDeviceDriver. Win32 error: Le fichier spécifié est introuvable."

I can connect on the VPN server but the connection is then stopped by my computer due to "Delete Reason Code: 11 --> PEER_DELETE-IKE_DELETE_FIREWALL_MISMATCH."

Does someone have an idea about that problem ?

Thanks in advance for you help

I finally solve the problem after numberous trials.

1. unsinstall Cisco VPN
2. install a recent version of "zone alarm" and keep it not activated if you have another anti-virus
3. install a recent version of "cisco VPN client"

after that every works, it seems that some .dll files have been modified during the installation of SYGATE and that Cisco VPN needs somes specific files from Zone alarm

Cheers

The installation of "zonealarm" can interfere with the network connections so this procedure is more adaptated.

1-unistall SYGATE and cisco VPN
2-install "ZONEALARM" recent version to create the dll files for CISCO VPN
3-create a temporary directory c:\vpntempo

and save in this directory the files from C:\windows\system32

vsinit.dll
vsdata.dll
vspubapi.dll
vsutil.dll
vsutil_loc040.dll

save also the file c:\windows\system32\zonelabs : dbghelp.dll

3-uninstall ZONEALARM

4-copy the files from c:\vpntempo
vsinit.dll
vsdata.dll
vspubapi.dll
vsutil.dll
vsutil_loc040.dll

to the directory c:\windows\system32
and copy file
dbghelp.dll to the directory c:\windows\system32\zonelabs

5-install a recent version of Cisco VPN

6-delete the directory c:\vpntempo

It works fine after many hours of search.
