Is something wrong with my fans
My computer starts running very slow. I checked the start-up programs and disable almost any unnecessary applications running at start-up, but it doesn't improve the computer's performance. I was wondering if it is overheated or running too hot, so I used SpeedFan to check the temperature. The problem is that I don't know why SpeedFan only detects one fan running on my computer even though all the fans were running while I used SpeedFan. I opened the case and saw all fans were spinning.

Below is the log after running HijackThis:

The speedfan shows that all of the temps are OK I would not worry about overheating

Speedfan can only detect fans that the motherboard has sensor for, no sensors speedfan ignore that fan or fans, this is a design that is in the motherboard.

As for disabling the start-up programs did you write down the ones you disabled? I think you should re-start these and then give another HijackThis with everything running. Basically if you stopped something from running and Windows needs it Windows will keep looking for it and take a lot longer booting up and also will run a lot slower. It is sort of like removing your knee joint and trying to run a half-mile.

my first thing would be to do al the basic stuff, defrag, dump temp files, check your vitural memery setting( I like minus setting the same as my memory amount and max set as x4 of it) and run at least 2 good spyware and malware programs as these will slow down your computer considerably.

To ozrom: Thank you for your information. I think I disabled yahoo messenger, Nero System Analyzer, QuickTime and some kind of printing service. Now I don't have to worry about the fans thing anymore. In addition, my computer has very loud noise, and I can't distinguish the difference between noise from hard drive and noise from fans. Is there anyway I can reduce the noise?
To Deade: Thanks for your advices. I am doing defrag now. After this, I'll use CCleaner to get rid of dump temp files. I don't know what you mean by checking virtual memory setting. How do i check it? How do I know which setting is good for my system? Again, thanks all for the helpful suggestions.
