#31 | here's what I found I just received this error when I logged in this morning. The differences from yesterday to today where these:
1. Added an USB flash drive.
2. Created an auto backup in system tools.
After deleting the auto backup and removing the USB flash drive, I rebooted my system. The computer booted up normally, I then shut down inserted the flash drive and booted up again, the error returned, thus my problem was due the USB flash drive (driver most likely). I am by far no expert in windows xp but this sounds like a software issue. Good luck with figuring your particular issue out. | | Junior Member with 3 posts. | | Join Date: Apr 2007 Experience: Intermediate |

#32 | I stand by my original post I'm pretty sure it's nothing to do with Norton.
A common link seems to be USB car readers (my guess they have an installer with a custom icon). Printers (again custom icons and "drive assignment" for network printers.
How many others who have this problem are using some form of external drive with anything but the windows software?
For the record, I've "killed" dit.exe on 6 machines that had this problem and none have seen it re-appear.

By "anything but the windows software" do you mean using an external drive with backup software other than that which comes with Windows (XP?).
If so, then we'd fit. We're using several external drives, but are ONLY using Windows backup under XP SP2. | | Junior Member with 1 posts.

#34 | c0000013 windows - no disk error My error occurred when I first loaded Norton. My solution was to remove Quicktime from the system tray. To do this I opened Quicktime, then selected Preferences/ Edit/ Quicktime Preferences. I unchecked the Install Quicktime Task icon in system tray.
Now the only time I get an error is when I open Quicktime. Hope this helps.

#35 | I don't know. I do not have Quicktime or any zip drives but still get this error. It seems to me that the error occurs when certain software is doing a quick scan to see what drives are available, but then not collating the information correctly. I would not like to say if that is the result of coding in the software itself, or the way hardware is reported by Windows.
In my case it appeared when I was trying to set up a default backup path in a newly installed open source package. The error message gave me an option to continue, and when I did everything appeared to run as it should do. | | Junior Member with 2 posts. | | Join Date: Jun 2007 Experience: Intermediate |

#36 | I have found a solution for this problem on my computer.
I don't have a floppy disk drive on my computer so it is disabled in the BIOS.
My A: drive is an Iomega ZIP-100 SCSI Disk Drive.
My B: drive is a Mat****a LS-120 Ver5 SCSI Disk Drive. Both have removable disks. And this is where the problem narrows down to. If I don't have disks in the drives, then I get the "No Disk - Exception Processing Message." If I leave disks in the drive, I don't get error messages when I boot up. #37 | My problem is slighty different than most of the ones posted on here.
I get the same error message:
windows - no disk
exception processing message c0000013 parameters 75b6bf9c etc
But once this message appears and i click continue, windows loads up but just shows a blank desktop...therefore i cannot remove any programs from the startup as suggested and cannot run task manager etc.
I started to get this message last night and cannot access anything on my machine due to the blank desktop. I haven't got norton antivirus (I have mcafee) but do have itunes and quicktime installed. I also have 4 card reader slots on my machine.
My machine is running XP. I was using itunes for the first time in ages yesterday so that may be the issue.
The only thing that i can do when starting the machine is access the BIOS. Has anyone else had this issue and can anybody help!!!

#38 | Here's how I fixed this problem....
I started getting that same error message after my wife shut down with a digital camera's memory card in the card reader. The card was removed AFTER shut down. The next time I started up my computer I started getting that same message. After reading some of these posts, I found that it would NOT appear if I started up WITH the memory card in the reader.
Anyway, I fixed it by using Windows Defender to disable Quicktime as a start up program (open Windows Defender from the start menu...assuming you have it...and click on Tools, then Software Explorer, then choose Startup Programs, find Quicktime and click Disable).
Bingo...error message GONE! | | Junior Member with 1 posts. | | Join Date: Jun 2007 Experience: Intermediate |

#39 | crazyhorse I have an HP Media Center PC that has been running for about nine months problem free.
Yesterday I installed an HP D5160 printer purely for the option to print onto CD's to which I was very impressed.
I booted the computer this morning and up came that dreaded message which totally baffled me. It was only after seeing the forum that I put two and two together. I had disconnected the printer which has a card reader on it. Realising that I had had a similar problem with a Lexmark with a card reader a few years ago I reconnected the printer and heh presto the message disappeared.
What causes this, whether it be the HP software for the card reader or something that causes a conflict with it I don't know but the problem only occurred after installing it. | | Junior Member with 1 posts.

#40 | Beginner This message Windows - no disk Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c appears everytimes I try to load Quicktime. Opening task manager to stop the error message does not work. It reopens whether I try to cancel it or close it with task manager. Any ideas? I do not have dit.exe loaded in my start-up directory.

#41 | I'm having this problem after re-formatting my hard drive. I'm still in the process of re-installing everything and transferring data from my external hard drive. Yesterday, I was getting the error message, Exception Processing Message c00000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4
75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c. I did have a jump drive plugged in at one time, so I tried putting that back in (FTR, it died yesterday too!) I'm not getting that error message anymore, but now my PC is taking several minutes to boot up, then it's locking up. I can't get it to work at all. Disk checks so the hard drive is fine. #42 | I had the same problem after removing a cd-rom drive and replacing it with a hard drive.
I did manage to fix it.
For some reason after swapping out the drives, window(XP) recognized the new drive but also reported that the removed drive was still there.
I fixed it by going into
Control panel>admintrative tools>Computer Mangament>Disk Management
The removed drive showed up in Disk Managment as 0 bytes with 0 bytes free.
then on the menu bar selected
Action>All Tasks>Change Drive Letter and Paths
then I deleted the drive letter corresponding to the removed drive.
I do not get the error anymore.
Hope this helps. | | Junior Member with 5 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2007 Experience: Intermediate |

#43 | I started having this problem after downloading some Windows updates. I went back and restored my computer's original settings to the day before I downloaded the updates (start/control panel, then double click system/system restore),and the problem no longer existed. This takes a while to do but it did resolve the problem. However, I re-restored to the update because I fear the hackers worse than having to annoyance of having to click on the error message multiple times.
It seems to me that this has happened to me at other times as well. The cure is worse than the problem it is trying to fix. It would be nice to be able to isolate which update is causing the problem and have Microsoft fix it. | | Senior Member with 304 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: indiana, usa Experience: Intermediate |

#45 | Howdy... Just to let the community know the problem I have been having with this error message. I run neither quicktime or norton anti-virus. After reading previous posts on this forum I uninstalled my USB card reader and the problem disappeared...
