Yesterday I uninstalled Norton SystemWorks 2005 and after rebooting ran the appropriate Norton removal tool. Upon rebooting after the removal tool I got the dreaded "Windows No Disk c0000013 etc. Restored to a point before I uninstalled Norton. The error disappeared but Norton would not work & upshot is I would need to uninstall and reinstall if I wanted this restore point to function as before. Decided to uninstall and problem solve from this point. Read all post I could google including this forum. Most encounter the error after a Norton uninstall or Windows update but not all. So I started implementing variations of others' solutions. When I disabled the zip - no error msg. When I enabled the zip and put in a zip disk before booting - no error msg. Ran msconfig and disabled all startup items. Restarted and no error msg. Tested startup items and found Event Reminder's presence in the startup list was the culprit. When I disabled only Event Reminder at startup - no error with zip enabled and empty. Read how some folks were getting this error associated with card readers. When they removed the card reader their problem was solved. I didn't want to remove my zip but could change its drive letter. Next, with all enabled on my system, I changed the zip to drive D and the DVD burner to drive C. The error msg has gone away. Appears that in resetting the drive letter whatever got corrupted during the Norton removal was fixed. Whew!!! Hope this helps someone else solve the problem faster than I did. | | Junior Member with 3 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2007 Experience: Intermediate |

#47 | exception processing message c0000013 parameters 75b6bf9c I have the same problem, but the only time I get the message with when opening Outlook.
It began when I uninstalled Norton Antivirus, but is related to an external hard drive with and all-in-one reader. When I unplug this drive, I don't get the message.
So, I don't know what to fix. From the posts I have read, it seems the cause of the problem was the Norton uninstall. I can't do without my external drive.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

#48 | I have the same problem:
Windows - No Disk
Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c d64 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c
It only happens when I click on the StarCraft - Brood War icon on my computer in order to start the game. But it does not do it if I just use the autorun feature to play... i've tested it an it always does the same. I am not really sure when this started, I've just ignored it but I am now trying to figure out how to fix it since I think it might have something to do with why I keep dropping very very often when hosting a game on StarCraft.
*Edit
I forgot to mention that after a few clicks on the cancel button it goes away... untill I click on the Icon again that is. | | Junior Member with 13 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Huntley, IL Experience: Intermediate |

#49 | I have also fixed this problem I had the same problem with the exception that it would only happen when I started running the golf game "Links 2003", and it only appeared one time per excecution of this task.
I did manage to fix it. Thanks to a post from ConieFL. Below is that post, it worked for me, the only exception is that I did not swap out any drives, but I did have a phantom Removable Disk assigned to drive G, which once I removed it I no longer have that problem. ConieFL post below.
For some reason after swapping out the drives, window(XP) recognized the new drive but also reported that the removed drive was still there.
I fixed it by going into
Control panel>admintrative tools>Computer Mangament>Disk Management
The removed drive showed up in Disk Managment as 0 bytes with 0 bytes free.
then on the menu bar selected
Action>All Tasks>Change Drive Letter and Paths
then I deleted the drive letter corresponding to the removed drive.
I do not get the error anymore.
Hope this helps. | | Junior Member with 3 posts. | | Join Date: Jul 2007 Experience: Intermediate |

#51 | I had the same problem on a new PC build, and I did a couple of things at the same time to get it to go away. I'm not sure which fixed it, but I suspect the floppy disk thing,
First, I had installed a floppy drive temporarily so I could build a RAID array when installing windows xp. That was still showing up in 'my computer' even though the drive had been removed. I disabled the floppy drive in device manager.
Second, I disabled a handful of tsartup programmes in MSconfig. These were:
Reader_sl from Adobe
AINap from Asus
BJPSMain from Canon (hope my printer still prints!)
msmsgs (nasty that - how did messenger get enabled?)
Anyway, between them they sorted it out, but my prime guess is that it was the floppy drive that was causing the problems. | | Junior Member with 1 posts.

#52 | Windows-NO DISK..Exception Error I, too have had this annoying error. It occurs every time I boot up...but not after that. After reading all of the suggestions posted here, I did this:
I right clicked on the Quick Time icon in the task tray. This caused the error message to pop up....the first time that has happened without booting up. After closing that exception error box, I clicked on the Preferences option in the Quick Time box and unchecked the indicator to place an icon in the task tray (I have forgotten the exact words). I then re-booted and voila....no error. So, after a series of ONE, I have no more error message!! | | Junior Member with 1 posts.

#53 | I have found that when loading new software and hardware watch what you may have in you card readers or floppy drives I belive its the programs that are checking for a data soruce that is no longer there so if you have to you may just need to uninstall the hardware and reinstall it same with the software with no disc but the installation disc and you may solve your problem, and check for the latest updates | | Junior Member with 6 posts. | | Join Date: Aug 2007 Experience: Beginner |

#54 | I have it too! Hi I am new to this forum.
Yesterday my AOL crashed and I had to re-install it. It was after I downloaded the new aol that the exception processing ..................message began.
It happens on booting up and after the computer is left for a while.
I am sure it is from the aol download, but how do I fix it?
I am a REAL beginner in playing around with files and such, and a bit timid about it as well.
Thanks for any help!!!!

#57 | My problem was caused by a virus called krag.exe I've read the posts here and they think its a norton problem or a quicktime problem. Mine is a little different. The Exception Processing Message showed up after I opened my USB Flash drive on 'My Computer'. Of course I scanned my flash drive with AVG, how could it miss a virus? So I visited this site to find a solution but none prove to be effective.
So I checked my flash drive again and to make sure I find a suspicious file I went to My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View>Unchecked both 'Hide extensions for known file types' and 'Hide protected operating system files.(Recommended)'. So I looked at my flash drive and found a file 'krag.exe'. So I googled it and found it was a worm and should be removed. My AVG can't detect it as a threat so I have to manually remove it. I removed the krag.exe, krag.log and autorun.inf by manually deleting it in my flash drive. It doesn't end there because it also infected my hard drive. I had to go to the 'Task Manager' by pressing ctrl+alt+delete. Checked under 'Processes' tab and found out the krag.exe is running under my username. So I hit 'end task' to end the virus running at the background. I then proceed to Start>Search> All files and folders>More Advanced Options>Checked 'Search system folders', 'Search hidden files and folders' and 'Search subfolders'. Under 'all or part of the file name:' I typed 'krag' and when the computer finished searching I deleted all the files having krag as their filename. I made sure I empty my recycle bin so there will be no trace of the virus. I restarted the computer and no more Exception Processing Message error. This is an alternative solution for users having only krag.exe running in the background as there are many other viruses, trojans and worms that may cause the same problems, it will have a different filename. | | Junior Member with 6 posts. | | Join Date: Aug 2007 Experience: Beginner |

#58 | still no luck... Hi. Thanks for your response. I do not use any external flash drives, only a card reader for the camera. Could that be it? This only happens when booting up the computer, and once I click continue, it doesn't seem to effect much. It is an old machine, getting a bit slower with age, but I had no 'krag' files.
Any other suggestions?
thanks

#59 | I had the same problem and it got annoying. I turneed off my external hard drive. Didn't work. Then I took out my SD card reader and it went away. I didn't have anything in it so maybe it was trying to read it but couldn't. Also at the same time the message was coming my AVG anti-spyware froze up. When the message went away it finished off it's search.
