Paste not working
If I right-click, I have the option to copy, but when I try to right-click and paste, the paste item is not available.. it's greyed out.

Ctrl-V doesn't work either. I've just tried pasting simple text from various programs into notepad or word and it doesn't work to paste into anything.

What should I check? Thanks all.

Thanks for the replies. I was on vacation and when I came back, the problem was there. Shift+Insert doesn't work either (I thought it was Ctrl+Insert.)

Thanks for any info you guys can give.

This has to do with some application that's having a lock over the Windows
Clipboard. David Candy's application should determine the Process that's
causing the problem.

Download GetOpenClipboardWindow.zip from here:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/temp/GetOp...oardWindow.zip

Unzip and run the tool. Post back what it reports. For best results, run
this utility during the time you encounter the Copy<=>Paste problem.

Try reloading/refreshing the page or web you want to paste the text into it.

Check to see if things are copying to the clipboard. Highlight and copy some text. Then click Start>Run and type in "clipbrd.exe" without the quotes and click OK. The text you copied should be on the clipboard. Post back with results please.

Paste not working
I use windows XP professional and I am experiencing the same problem with my paste function not working.

I downloaded the Getopenclipboardwindow and it says there does not seem to be any problems.

I also ran the "clipbrd" executable and when I try to copy or cut items, nothing appears inside the clipbook viewer.

I have run a virus scan and restarted my computer with no luck. This problem started today (7 May 2007).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
