Question any help at all?
I just bought a new computer for my bf from ibuypower.com(im somewhere between beginner and int. when it comes to handling comps he's between int. and awesome...lol). while he was trying to install ventilo/xfire the computer restarted itself. when it started to load back up it gets as far as the windows screen with the blue bar that shows its loading then the bar will pause and the computer will loop around as if it were restarting again. It never fully loads. It will not let me start it in safe mode, it just does the same thing and as its loading it up it pauses and then restarts. The only way to make it get out of this loop is by entering my BIOS setup. Is it the equipment or a problem with the software? should i wipe clean the system and try to reinstall it all? ( i have a display driver installation cd version 71.1, installation disc for windows xp, drivers and utilities disc which has nortons/adobe/pc alert and so forth on it, installation cd for windows vista, and a recovery cd rom cd for microsoft windos xp professional service pack 2 (which tells me its only for backup and/or recovery). ) Is there an easy fix at all?

Exclamation disc response
i series recovery cd rom (says microsoft windows xp professional service pack 2 on it), xfi installation cd for windows vista, xfi installation cd for windows xp, display driver installation cd version 71.1 (says windows 2000/xp and says its contents are display drivers reschanger xp and trial software on it), and drivers and utilities which contents of that are adobe, fuzzy logic, live update, pc alert, norton, and "useful website". The monitor, mouse, and speakers have their own installation discs as well but we bought those separately.

Welcome to TSG....

If this computer is brand new it might still be under warranty. If it is I would suggest having it checked out where you bought it, if there is anything wrong with the computer doing anything to it might void the warranty.

From what you say in the first post it looks like you would have to do a repair-installation of Windows and that should fix it but this might void the warranty unless the computer manufacturer or where you bought it told you to do it, It is best to ask them.
