Epson printer driver problems

I hope this is the place for this!
Running Win XP and had to re-install my Epson R220 printer..have a field day trying to find a simple printer driver as Windows doesn't list any for that model. Finally found the proper driver (it appears), installs it..and...the printer shows as being there but when I print a test page it actually prints it ok BUT this message comes up:
"Attempting to connect to a different device from that specified in the driver. Check the driver settings and the device."
