| Hi Norton can use a lot of resourses...but your system specs show it can more than cope with it. Check what you have running at startup. http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig http://sysinfo.org/startuplist.php Shutdown problems..check. http://www.aumha.org/win5/a/shtdwnxp.php |

| You do not need these to run on startup....you can start them when you need them. Windows Media Player\WMPNSCFG.exe Outlook Express\msimn.exe Messenger\msmsgs.exe |

| Thank you bonk for your suggestion . I will change the run on start programs you suggested. Should I be concerned about the INI section not found and Registry value not found that are under the list: Shell & Screensaver key from C:\WINNT\SYSTEM.INI? I forgot to thank blues_harp28, my apologies. |

| You could post a HijackThis log and a Uninstall list that should show any problems. Download HijackThis to your desktop
AND..... It may help if you post your Uninstall list.

| Greetings! I unchecked the Windows Media Player from the Start Up list. I could not find the Outlook Expres\msimn.exe on the Start Up list nor in Services. Messanger.exe. was already in Manual in the Services list. Can't figure it out. Anyway, here is the Hijack This list and Unistall list. Thanks in advance.
