Angry Windows Update Fail
When i try to update windows its fails!! what i do is i run windows update and when its done/time to restart it says the updates failed!!!!
what do i do ?

Try this:

1. Re-register the Windows Update DLL with the commands below

Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
Copy and paste each of the following commands. Press ENTER after each command.

regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wups2.dll
regsvr32 wuweb.dll

Then run the update again . .

If that does not work this has worked for me before.

Click Start, Run type in CMD
type net stop WuAuServ and click Enter
Click Start Run type %windir% and press enter
Rename the Folder SoftwareDistribution to SDold
Click Start Run CMD Type in net start WuAuServ
If you get any error here you should restart and then try the updates again.

they all worked simpswr but regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll says loadlibrary("regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll") failed- the specified module could not be found.

also ive tried to do just SP2 from windows and when extracting it says i386\root\cmpnents\mediactr\i386\ehrecobj.dl_ is corrupt.

it wont let me change the file name also there is a folder named Sdold one spot away

Try this and it will eventually give yo a spot where you can email Microsoft tech support for free tech support on the problem.

You can rename it Sdold2 or something else.
Then try the whole update all over again.
