XP Help? New image to box, Slow.?
I've previously had a fresh install of XP Media edition. After a few months, it died on me.

I used the old harddrive and loaded a fresh copy of XP Pro on it. The quality was very bad, the time it took to copy all the files and install was well over 2 days. It normally takes an hour to 2 max.

So, I bought a new harddrive. Repeated. I even swapped disks, (I tried XP Pro, XP Home, XP Media) all came with the same results. Then I swapped CD Drives (3 of them to be precise.)

XP runs very slow, Startup is very slow. I haven't been able to do anything on it because after the image, It's been lagging out like crazy.

What's going on?

Also, It's not display or chipset drivers. Those are usually installed later and don't affect speed. It seems that EVERYTHING is lagging. I mean, it take 5 minutes from boot to log-on.

I've reseated ram, Replaced ram, HDD, CD Drive, Removed GFX card, Modem, Soundcard....Everything.

I've removed everything and it's still runs the same, it's barebones right now.

Any advise would help right now. Thanks.
