Unhappy My computer doesn't work... at all?!
Hi.

I recently installed (or attempted to...) an Epson photo printer on my Compaq with XP SP2. When it was almost done installing, the computer crashed. When I turned the computer back on, it loaded up to the Windows splash screen, but then it froze (The progress bar was in this position:

I tried everything that I knew how to to get it booted. I tried in safe mode, the last known configurations, normally, debugger, and the list goes on. Finally, I tried Compaq's PC Restoration thing (or whatever it's called) and it didn't work..

That was when I got out the XP Reinstall disk, put it in the drive, and booted from the CD. It looked like it was making progress. It showed all of the files and drivers and stuff that it was unpacking, but when it got to the "starting windows" part, it froze. I tried like ten times! I let it stay frozen for a long rim, hoping it would unfreeze, but no, it didn't

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this computer?? I don't care if I lose all my data; I just backed up last week.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!
