#36 | Obviation Well, I went ahead and installed the driver without installing the entire Catalyst Suite. It seems to work ok. On the other hand, the colors aren't clear on my graphics program which is likely due to the fact that the monitor drivers haven't been installed just yet. The other thing I have to do is to install the scsi driver, then I am hoping it will be smooth sailing. But I know that's just a fantasy. HA! | | Junior Member with 4 posts.

#38 | thanks for the effort. i am also having problem with drivers, but of different kind. i have started a thread for that. my drivers are not compatible for server 2003 (specifically the sound driver). and my motherboard is dg33fb. http://forums.techguy.org/hardware/7...e-drivers.html
is there any remote possibility that you write such programs even for server 2003.
anyway thanks for ur great effort | | Junior Member with 4 posts.

Please suggest me any kind of answers. | I do not know. I do not use dual monitors however I see no reason why it would not work. What the script does is patch the inf file so it will load under win2k. When you attempt to install an unpatched driver, it checks and it does not find xp, it will not install. Win2k and xp can use the same driver however after about 7.12 or so, the inf files have been changed to reflect xp only.

#44 | Hi..crjdriver
I tested my HD3850 with xp and found this. I saw setup menu on CCC which allows me to use dual monitors. I successfully installed cp 8.3 but it only supports clone monitor. So in order to use dual monitors, I need to install CCC. But HOW ?? Damn ATI.
I don't like xp which is too heavy and chubby. I want to remain on win2k until stable version of 64 bits o/s comes out. Why the hell M$ is not able to make long lasting o/s like unix ? Why they change o/s too OFTEN ? O/S shouldn't be a trend. You can't change your barin too often.
