Question WINXP SP2 Freezing All the Time
I am running AMD ATHLON XP 1800+ 1.5GHz, 1GB MEMORY, NVIDIA GEFORCE 6200 (3rd video card I've tried), WINXP SP2, new 500W PSU, fans are working & no overheating, use McAfee Antivirus+Antispyware, AdAware, Hijack This, have done multiple clean reinstalls of Windows (now I have to call Microsoft for product key because I've reinstalled so many times) and I've checked the MB & other hardware & memory. My system still freezes multiple times every single day most often when visiting adobe.com or printing (have HP Deskjet 5550, freshly updated WINXP drivers) Any site with flash content freezes my machine when I have flash installed. Some sites freeze system even without flash installed. By "freeze" I mean nothing works - no keyboard (no ctrl+alt+del), no mouse, nothing. I have to use power button to shut down. Anything new out there to try?

sounds like a memory issue with some program hogging resources.

could be adobe uninstall it to check performance.Or disable it in the msconfig menu startup.
reseat the memory chips some times this helps make sure the chips are fully in the sockets. when lose all control of input cpu is 100% flat out.if there is in the bios a virus checker disable it if you have a windows virus checker running. avg norton etc i believe nortons is a resource hog..

john.

Unable to use Flashplayer or Java in IE7
Both plug-ins still freezing my computer. I still can't visit the Adobe sight without the computer completely freezing. Adobe reader will start and I can view pdf's for a short time before it freezes using Window NT 4 SP5 compatibility.
