Solved: Reinstalling XP, problems with current RAID setup?
I am planning on a new fresh install of Windows XP Professional. I am wondering if I will run into any problems with my RAID setup which I am using to store temporary store backup copies of the files located on hard drive 1 (XP install).

Here's my setup:
HD1: Windows XP Professional
HD2/3: RAID Setup

I used Window's Computer Management > Disk Management to create the RAID setup (Dynamic > Stripped).

I just don't want to have any problems adding the RAID setup or getting my files back after I install XP again and go to add my RAID setup. Is there anything I need to do?

If you need to know additional info, just let me know.

Stripped, RAID 0, is a bad backup idea. If either drive fails, the data is lost. Why not run a RAID 5? I realize you're running the RAID 0 as a backup of HD1, but I've lost RAID drives before without clues as to the source of failure.

I'm using RAID 0 for Uncompressed Captures through my Intensity Pro card. I realize adding more to this would even further increase write/read speeds which is even better but I am already achieving what I need so far. Plus I have 7/8 SATA drives filled. I would normally back up my data on my other hard drives but because of projects and other data, they are full and not near as large as the 2 hard drives with RAID 0. I need a reformat badly, been a while, so it was the easiest thing to do just copy over data to RAID 0 setup.

Just to let anyone know that comes across this, if you are doing a similar setup to mine or same. You can safely reinstall XP on HD1 where you had setup RAID 0/or another RAID setup through Windows Software Disk Management on other disks. They will show up after reformat, to be on the safe side you should disconnect the RAID disks so you don't accidentally reformat or install on those.
