Solved: BSOD: Minidump needs checking please
so, my third BSOD in as many weeks...

im thinking of taking up an easier hobby, like crochetting.

my extreme retardation of logical proccesses and general mechanical and mental incompetance aside my computer went to a BSOD after i attempted to do too many things at once while updating a sound driver...

said sound driver cause the computer to go to the dreaded blue screen with the following stop code and error:

STOP: 0X0000007E(0XC0000005,0XA8119E0E, 0XF89921FC, 0XF8991EF8)

RTKHDAUD.SYS address A8119E0E base at A8114000 date stamp 439944e5

the above RTKHDAUD.sys is of course, part of the realtek HD audio sound card i was installing on my computer, due to me attempting to reinstall the drivers to fix ANOTHER problem.

booted in safe mode, removed drivers, comp works fine but has no sound.

im gonna re-download the specified drivers from the manufacturers website and try reinstalling the drivers and chipsetted sound card, just needed some legend of a person to go through the minidump that was generated by lovely, fault tolerant windows.

File Type: rar Mini062508-01.rar (7.5 KB, 8 views)

ok, reinstalling the drivers didnt work, i wasnt there to watch it so i dont know when it screwed up again. booted in safe mode, discovered installation hadnt even finished, finished it and attempted to apply drivers to sound card when i discovered the reason i THINK this is screwing up. when it got to a certain part of installing the sound card it said that RTKHDAUD.SYS was missing entirely. . .

so yeah, im gonna search and try and see if i can download that specific file somewhere, if someone can help that would be incredibly awsome

worry not, denizens of this forum, your faithful guidance has allowed me to fix my computer. no longer does it struggle to do simple tasks, and now my laptop glows with a radiant aura of peace...

[/sarcasm]

so i reverted to a restore point, sound is still crap, laptop is still slow, had no help at all, tired, dissapointed and disillusioned. will mark as solvd for no other reason than that i stopped caring.
