Question Monitor hiccups
Hi. I am running Window XP, SP 2, ADM Athlon 64 processor, 2.41 GHz, 2 gig HD memory looks to be pretty good.

Recently, my monitor seems to get finicky when I drag any images across the screen. In paint, in irfanview and in Photoshop or any other program where I view images.

Once I begin dragging an image to reposition it somewhere within screen's space, the computer freezes for 2 seconds, goes black and then comes back up, but there are underlying image "traces" left behind. I can only remove them if I minimize the screen and open it back up.

My scratch disk is not on the same drive so that I am not using my primary HD for that. I have another HD, installed that I use for my images and scratch disk. Its a 2 gig HD too.

We installed an new and improved Motherboard with a better components and have updated the drivers and chipset.

So your saying that you are getting the info it needs from another disk and not your main drive

The programs are all located on C drive. The Scratch disk is on E drive (recommended by PS)

Not yet, doing that tomorrow. I have defragged both drives very recently.

If its not the drivers, could it be a memory problem?

Or, what possible problems could it be. Keep it under 50 *lol*
