User profile on XP Pro disappeared, folder in Documents and Settings gone

Hello, one of the user profiles in Windows XP Pro has disappeared. I cannot recover the files because the folder in Documents and Settings has disappeared too. I am running a virus scan now. Any help in how this could have happened?

That's not the problem, it's only 1 user account, the first one on the list, and I can't find any trace of it anymore.

Hi there,
I've never had a user a/c dissapear on me, I'll keep searching around, it sounds a bit bizzar.
I'd love to know how such a thing might happen.
