Tried Repair/Install with wrong CD
Hello,

Here's my problem. I was recently trying to do a repair/install on a computer but I accidentally had a Windows XP Upgrade CD in the drive instead of just the Windows XP CD. So when I had to type in the product key it was wrong so setup wouldn't work. I have tried to restart the process with the Windows XP cd but now I get to a point where it says it has already tried to upgrade and I either can try to continue or perform a fresh install. Any ideas how I can get past this?

Thank you in advance!

Did you start this process from the desktop or restart and boot up from the disc?
you can go here;
http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt...l-windows.html
http://www.blackviper.com/Articles/OS/OSguides.htm
for some detailed information, Please read them both before proceeding.

Boot from disc
I started the process booting from disc. I booted off of an Windows XP Pro SP2 Upgrade disc instead of a normal Windows XP Pro SP2 disc. The computer already had Pro on it.
