Dual Boot Install Windows XP and MCE
Hi,
I'm currently running Windows xp media center edition on my laptop. It's incompatible with some of the audio equipment I have so I want to install Windows XP pro. I don't have enough time to do a complete reinstallation so I want to install it on one of my partitions.
I have 2 partitions on my main hard drive, C (NTFS) and D (NTFS) (the laptop came this way). D is basically empty, it has 16.4 GB of free space out of 17.2, and I was going to use it for the XP pro installation.
My questions are:
1. Do I need to do anything to the D drive before the install, or can I just go for it?
2. Is 16.4 GB large enough for XP Pro?
3. Is there anything else I should know before I do this?

Thank you in advance

Your reinstall should give you the option of partition and partition size..16.4 gb is plenty for XP pro...Just be sure to create the new partition so you won't lose the other stuff...
