Post Clean install on Advent 4212 netbook
I'm going to get an Advent 4212 netbook sometime in the new year. What I would like to know is whether I can perform a clean install of XP Pro on it. I know that I would need the original drivers from it, that's no problem for me.

I do have an external USB disk drive, if I set the BIOS to boot from USB (some machines I have used can do that) or disk drive, would it work?

I appreciate that I could just install Pro by installing when logged in to XP Home, but I would like to know if what I am suggesting is possible.

I know that a lot of netbooks use SATA HD's, would that mean I need an additional driver to perform the clean install if this does work?

Thanks!
