Outlook acting up
I am using windows XP. When I get email, and when I respond to email, one of my icon bars is missing. I can't change the format to HTML - all is grayed out except "send Pictures...". I go to Tools/Customize and the minute I click on it everything comes back, so I can't add what is already there.

When I open email I always use the next button to see the next one. It shows up when I open the 1st email, but when the next email opens it is gone.

Also everytime I respond to an email my lines are double spaced and I can't change it.

It's driving me crazy!

Can you clarify? The next e-mail is gone or the e-mail you just read is gone?
If the latter, is your view set to only show Unread messages?

Click View > Arrange By > Current View > Messages
This will show all messages whether read or unread.

What version of Outlook are you using?

Let us know.

I am using Outlook 2003. The emails do not disappear. The icons I use are the problem. Under View>Messages only Date and Show in Groups are checked.

Sorry, that doesn't help me to understand.

Can you post a screen shot of the problem?

You could also try creating a new profile in Outlook to see if the behavior persists in a new profile:

Let's try this again. Please do not paste the screen shots in a Word document.

Open the window where you want to take a screen shot.

Press the prt scr (print screen) button to capture the image, this will automatically be copied to the clipboard.

Open MSPaint:
Programs > Accessories > Paint

Paste the screen shot that has been copied to the clipboard, into MSPaint:
Edit > Paste

Save the file as a .jpg file.
File > Save As
Name the file and click the drop down arrow for the Save as type: field and select: JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.JPE;*JFIF)
Click: Save to save the file.
Note the directory where the .jpg file is saved.

Scroll down this page below the Reply window and click the Go Advanced button.
On the next window scroll down and click the Manage Attachments button.

A window will open where you can browse to the file on your computer and upload it to your reply.
Click the Submit Reply button and you should see the attachment in your reply.

Here is an example:

I followed your instructions and on the manage attachments window I can see the 2 files under Current attachments. But There is nowhere I click to send. At the very bottom of the page it say "Done, but with errors of the page."

I saved them in Paint as a .jpg.
