I have my computer set up with XP and the Win2k login screen.
Problem:
For some reason, when attempting to login, the prompt goes away and the "Loading your personal settings" window pops up, but only for a second. Then it returns to the login prompt.
Possible cause:
When I installed the East Asian languages, it failed the first time, then succeeded on the second attempt. After that, I switched the Non-Unicode program language to Japanese, and installed all of the fonts. I have a feeling that the East Asian languages never installed correctly, and that the incorrect installation is causing the problem.
This is the only thing that I did out of the ordinary, so if it is not the cause, I do not have any more information.
What I need answered:
I have access to all of the drives Via a Ubuntu Live CD, so I can edit any files that are needed. What file and where in the file do I have to change in order to return the non-unicode program language back to English?
