safely remove ALL external USB devices from script / shortcut
hi there,

this is more of a general annoyance than any thing else, but none the less.. any support would be greatly appreciated...

currently, i have my iPod, Memory Pen, Audio Interface, MIDI Keyboard, MIDI Drum Controller And External Hard Drive all wired up to my USB hub and then that in turn into my laptop

the problem is, when i wish to take my laptop off of my desk, and therefore have to unplug my hub, i have to click "safely remove hardware" and go through the annoying process of removing each piece of hardware one at a time...

after a while of searching Google for an answer, i stumbled across something called "devcon"? and even a website offering a free download of a "devcon" script that says it removes all attached devices...problem is i couldn't get devcon to install!

so, can someone talk me through the process of installing devcon?

or perhaps there are other ways of achieving this?

in advance, many thanks!

P.S - some things you might want to know about my setup:

Windows XP SP3

McAfee VirusScan Enterprise (access protection, buffer control and on access scanner are disabled when i try and install devcon - still no luck)

USB 2.0 ports,

and i have administrative access..

that's all i can think that might be relevant? if there's something else you feel you may need to know...please do not hesitate to contact me!
