Autoplay Window Pops up during Start up
Hi Guys,

I've recently run Eusing Free Registry Cleaner, and since then every time I start up my PC I get a Window that pops up called Autoplay.

In the window it looks like it's quickly scrolling though the directories on the PC.

After a minute or so it stops and goes away.

It's not a big issue, but I wondered what was going on.

Anybody got any clues?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Paul

A lot of bad things have been said on this forum about registry cleaners, but still not enough...

Did you make a backup before using your registry cleaner? If so, go back before you did the clean up.

If not, try a system restore to a prior date.

Sounds like I should have read up on Tech Support Guy, before I ran the Registry Cleaner.

It does seem to have improved performance in a couple of areas, (Dreamweaver has stopped misbehaving) and this Autoplay problem is not a major one.

If I could fix the autoplay, I would rather do that than return to the troubles I was having with Dreamweaver.

Is there a Reg Cleaner that can be "trusted"

Regards,

Paul

I wouldn't bet on it...

Did you try a system restore?

You should do a complete scan for viruses/malware.
Also, in My Computer => Tools => Folder Options => View == check to 'Show hidden files and folders' and also uncheck the box 'Hide protected operating system files'. Then look for (do a search for) a file named autorun.inf in the drive that's autoplaying. Delete it if you find it.
