Windows XP video and audio freezes
Whenever I try to play video/audio on my hard drive or the internet, my computer freezes and have to restart. It doesn't freeze everything, just the video player or internet. But I always have to restart. I could still move my mouse, however I cannot open anything else till it unfreezes. Please help, it is extremely frustrating.

I have Windows XP SP3. What should I do?

You may have too many processes running at the same time or not enough RAM. How much RAM do you have?

It says I have 1.79 GHz, 896 MB of RAM.

I should tell you that I reformatted my computer about a month ago, and before that, everything was working fine. I don't know if that helps or not. Did something happen in that reformat process to make my video and audio freeze up?
