I contacted my DSL provider. They say both dowload andd upload rates are optimal and it'ts not them or their modem. On this end, upload is showing as radically slow. suggestions?

Sorry, I was gone for the weekend.

The following is a link to MSI's website, The drivers you probably need to install are the Chipset, Audio, VGA, and LAN. I wouldn't worry about the raid drivers.

After you download and extract or unzip each one, you should be able to go into the folder it created, find the Setup.exe file, double-click it, then follow the prompts to install.

I've done that, but I still don't have the software to play DvDs or Cds in my CD-Rom and the Internet is still painfully slow.

Is it normal for me no longer to have sound on my computer after doing those installs? How can I get it back? It was working earlier.

Right click "My Computer" choose properties, then click the hardware tab, and choose device manager. On this list what has a ? or ! next to it?

Sorry to be impatient, but could installing the new drivers for internet stuff have somehow deleted my audio drivers? I know it reset a bunch of visual things including my wallpaper and changing sizing on my screen. Is there some way I can get it to check for speakers outside of bios, since my biods no longer has any audio related things in it's menu at all? The disappearance of my audio corresponded with the installations of the files above. There is also no mention of audio equipment under properties/hardware.

Before you ask, the speakers are on and plugged in.

The link provided was the correct one for your motherboard. So the driver is correct.

You said earlier that this was a "custom built" computer. Does it have a seperate sound card, or are you using the one integrated into the motherboard?

We did a headphone test and got system sounds, but no music or words so things like pandora and you Tube are out.

Please. I at least had sound from the internet before I installed the drivers you suggested. How do i get the new drivers to acknowledge my speakers exist? how do I get sound back? This is much wose than not being able to use my CD-Rom, which I still can't use, as the computer still doesn't have drivers to run it.

Some advise please? Things are worese than when i started.

I still need directions for finding out what kind of sound card i have.
