Conclusion
RF:

I have not had any luck figuring out the bootup disk, but since then the computer is running good as new. ATF Cleaner picks up a few things that CCleaner misses, so I use them in unison; no conflicts. So I am just going to forget about DFT, mark this thread as solved, and thank you very much for all your help on a mission accomplished.

Thank you very much,
-sam

You are welcome.

It is important to know when to fold 'em.

Good to know the computer is working well, at present.
