Windows Xp Genuine Activation
I bought an XP SP3 disk from Microsoft Store. When I installed it, it worked fine. As you may know SP3 does not require any Product Key. However after I installed around 24 updates from Windows Update I re-booted my PC. Now every time I start my PC amessege comes up saying "You may be a victim of Software Counterfite". I know this is because it dosn't pass some Genuine Authentication pass but I know it's legal.Does anybody know what the problem is?

Hi Callum,

If you're absolutely sure your copy of XP is genuine then I'd give Microsoft Support a call, they're the only people who can sort this for you.

You know if you download it for free and when there is a keygen or serial key bundled they are always pirated and 70% of the time banned Serial Keys.

Are you referring to just SP3 or the entire XP operating system that you purchased?

I don't think XP is available for purchase at their store.

All I want is to know a way of getting a Genuine Activation of my XP operating System. By the way I already know about buying a new key but that is a massive rip off.

If you have a valid key then I suggest you call Microsoft and they will set you up. Otherwise, there's nothing we can do.

I'm closing this thread.
