Hard Drive difficulties
Whenever i try to open one of my hard drives through my computer (on the desktop) they do not open, instead an 'open with..' box comes up, hence the only ways to open my hard drives is by using the address bar in my computer or the explore function.

Also the file explorer.exe seems to be having some problems - it sometimes randomly crashes. I believe that the two problems are related as they started happening at same times.

If it helps i recently uninstalled NOD32 and that had some issues with a file called Autorun.inf. Looking around on the internet im lead to believe that autorun.inf could be the problem. Currently im using Kaspersky instead.

Any help would be great.

This sounds like more a windows problem than a hardware problem. Post what ver of windows you are using and I will move it to the correct forum.

Go to Start > Run and type

sfc /scannow

Have your installation CD handy, as it may ask for it.

You rae probably right that you have an autorun infection. You should probably be in the Malware forum.

But try this for now:

File, Drive, and Folder Open Fix
