PS/2 keyboard does not work after standby
I have my computer set to go into standby if left alone for 10 minutes. Sometimes, the keyboard will not work at all after it wakes up.

The keyboard works to wake the system up, but after that, nothing. no num, caps, scroll lock lights. It doesn't work to enter my password. Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't work. It's dead.

So I try pulling the keyboard out and plugging it back in. The lights flash once, then it's dead again.

The only fix I've found is a system restart. (using my mouse of course)

It is a PS/2 keyboard. This is rather unrelated, but I have a Bluetooth mouse connected via usb bluetooth dongle that is not effected after wake up.

Do the LEDs in your keyboard blink once at POST?I mean, when you switch on the computer, do they blink once?

Yes, the lights on the keyboard blink immediately when I hit the power button, and again a second or two later on the first hp screen (POST, I think)
