Dell laptop latitude D610 slow boot startup
Hi there, I have just been given this laptop for our charitable organisation: 1Gb ram 60 gb hardrive, but it came with the hardrive wiped clean and with no installation CD for drivers etc. Have loaded Windows XP Home, gone to the Dell website and installed most of the drivers following Dell's recommended installation order for drivers. Following this the boot up time is less than a minute. After installing Service Pack nr 2 the bootup time is 10 minutes. I have spent hours and hours trying to figure out what is going on ... this Broadcom security platform etc is just making it even more confusing. Would really appreciate if somebody could help?
