Exclamation restoring with different disc?
ok im getting real tired of my pc's error screens showing up and i want to restore my windows xp os.i dont have the actual restore cd to my computer because it is not a store bought computer.i have a winows xp sp3 disc for dell computers and i was wondering if i could use that restore cd and not mess up my pc.(my computer is not a dell)

No, you will need a full XP OS disk.
Run www.belarc.com on your computer, that will give you the key number (25 numbers) that you will need to restore.
If you know someone that has a non OEM version, you might be able to use that disc but will need the key number from your original install.
SP 3 can be used.
