Weird. Many of the NTLDR cases I faced ago have been fixed by a clean reinstallation, or replacing the hard drive. Are you sure that there is no malware infected data on your pc? By the way, why don't you try to actually recopy the NTLDR file from the Xp cd to your windows directory, I will show you how in a later post, but first, an idea I remembered. Go to your bios and assure that the primary bootable device is the hard disk, then other as DVD-ROM or etc.. and make sure that there is no cd in the drive when booting, nor floppy disc in the fdd, same thing if you have a card reader attached to the computer with a memory card in it.
Another possibilities are:
-The connection cables (IDE, EIDE) are having faults. Try replacing them
-The installation of Windows Xp is corrupt
-You are partitioning the hdd as FAT32
That all what I know, maybe other experts may have some suggestions?
