Solved: USB audio device drivers missing
I am using a Dell Dimension 4600C w/ Windows XP Professional SP2. I have been trying to load a Logitech QuickCam E3500 and had a problem w/the integrated mic working. After much research w/Logitech support we found out that I'm missing some inf files. Specifically wdma_usb and wdmaudio. At this time I have no "wdma_" files listed in the inf files. Need to get these files loaded and Dell doesn't seem to understand what I'm telling them. Please help!

Hi!

Do a search for wdma_usbinf.bak and wdma_usbpnf.bak on your PC (include hidden and system files). When (if) you find them, back them up (make a copy somewhere and note the location so you can restore them if necessary, they should be under "...\windows\inf", if at all) and then rename them to wdma_usb.inf and wdma_usb.PNF.

That should do it (you might need to restart).

Unzip it and put the four files in your Window/inf/ folder (but do not overwrite if a file already exists.

Also, consider updating to sp3.
