error 1000
Hi all,

I am running HP media center M270n. windows xp, ie6, sp3. I am getting error 1000.
Faulting application (explore.exe) version 6.0.2900.5512, faulting module nview.dll, version 6.14.1.4303, fault address 0x0001c438.

My husband installed IE8 it was not compatable with HP so I unistalled it.

Howdy,

I would think that there are left overs from IE8 causing the problem

Can you install Explorer 7 below....What was the problem with IE8 on that PC?

Hi,

Did research and found out hp computers are not ready for IE8. Anyway computer is a mess. Keep getting app. hangs, freezes, errors: 4609, 1041, 7000. I went to help and support-network diagnostics: network adapters (00524291) wan mini port (IP) failed, dnsserversearchorder-failed

209.172.0.5 failed
209.172.0.8 passed

computer real slow
event viewer keeps freezing

I will try installing ie7

Not sure where you learned that IE 8 is incompatible with HP computers specifically. I run it on numerous HP's every day. Likely it has to do with underpowered system specs regardless of manufacturer.
