At first I was able to login, after which all that would show up was my wallpaper. No icons, or start menu. The only command (that I know) that worked was ctrl + alt + delete . After I repeated this several times, after restarts, I tried typing in a web address in the applications tab, in the new task window. There were no listed applications running at the time. Doing this opened up IE and then my desktop all popped up and my comp. seemed to be running normally. I immediatly ran a full McAfee virus scan that found 5 files - all winlogon trojans. It fixed 3, and allowed me to remove one (after restart) I couldn't quarantine or delete the last one. I restarted and now as soon as I logon, it immediatly logs me back off to to login screen. It does this in all safe modes as well. Please help
I have an HP Pavillion dv5000 running Windows XP Service Pack 3 Media Centre Edition
