c000021a 0xc0000020 ERROR MESSAGE!!
turn on computer, says "primary drive 1 not found stike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility"

so i press F1, the starts to load windows XP but blue screen comes up and says, "STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The windows log on process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000020 (0x00000000 0x00000000)."

Dell Dimension 3000 Pen.4, 2.8 GHz

wont start in safe mode either and cannot change boot sequence.

same error
Hi, have you resolved your problem cos I seem to have the same message and cant start up windows to download a fix or connect to laptop??

any one able to advise would be very grateful

thanks for the reply but im using windows xp and it goes to the loading screen then the error pops up so i cant do anything in the GUI

how can i resolve this if i cant even use cmd, and safe mode doesnt boot

Looks like you will have to re-install Operating System.

You would be better off getting a new hard drive, installing Windows on that, installing antivirus and updates, then adding that hard drive back as a second.
