How to Restore "Open With" option and Dialog Boxes
This was working fine until a few days ago. Whenever I insert a DVD into either drive, I get no dialog box asking me what I want to do with the disc.

Also, whenever I go to "My Computer" and right click on the drive, the "Open With" option is now gone. It was there a week ago! I have had some Trojan stuff found by my anti-virus software and I don't know if it wiped it out.

I read in Microsoft website to make sure a specific registry key was there and it is there. So, I don't know how to get options back. The only way to play DVDs is to pull up the player (Power DVD or VLC) and click on Open Disc.

Also, I have never been able to play them in WMP because of multiple image effect.

Thanks!

LWarteman, Go to the link below and scroll down to line 220 (left column) and click on "Restore Open With on the Right Click" to download a reg file fix. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.
