Exclamation HELP! Unmountable volume bluescreen!
Ok, so basically I have an XP PC that will no longer load. Before this, there was a period of time where several pop-up ads would show up every hour, but now it will not even start up. Instead, if one tries to load the system, there is a bluescreen with the problem "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME."

I looked up previous advice: http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt...ot-volume.html
But the advice seems to hinge on you being able to start with a cmd prompt. I cannot do that because the blue screen shows up at the windows logo when the system is loading. I cannot boot up in safe mode, normal mode, or previous working arrangement.

The stop code is 0x000000ED (0x8673AC08, 0xC00000006, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Please help if you can!!!

Thanks, but I'm not getting the message to boot from cd...
It may be caused by the CD-rom jumpers...but I'm afraid of messing the comp up even more...Any other suggestions before I try to fix it? (and likely mess it up even more?)
