I ran the clean boot in safe mode and also normal mode and restarted the computer, everything is working ok now. I can go onto the internet and it has been working fine after 5 minutes now. Thank you soooooo much for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could you tell me what the problem was with my computer?

Also, is it safer to have more than 2 antivirus installed on the computer? or should only install one?

Hi,

Now the computer freeze problem is fixed. When I changed it back to Normal mode, it didn’t work. When I finished, I uncheck the checkbox labeled "SAFEBOOT" and click on the General tab and set it for Normal startup but didn't work.
I tried a few times and restart my computer a few times already. After I changed it and press apply then ok, because it didn’t work. So I went back to Safe Mode and nothing was change….The safeboot was checked and under general tab-selective startup was selected.

Did I miss a step? Could you please help me out again??

Under the General tab, select Selective Startup instead. Reboot.

Hi Phantom,

To select "Selective Startup" under general tab - should I do it in Safe Mode or Normal Mode?

You asked me to run the HiJack this log, is it nesscary as the computer freeze problem is fix? or it hasn't been completely fixed yet until the HiJack this log step is complete?

It can be selected in Safe or Normal mode.

I need to see your HijackThis log to see if something else can be fixed or if malware can be detected.

I selected "selective startup" in Normal mode then reboot - it didn't work. The screen is still narrow and playing video on the Internet is still is slow motion.

OK, I am going to work on the HiJack.

I have 2 computers at home - If one computer is infected by virus, could the other computer be infected as well since they have the same IP address?

You have two installed antivirus programs, Avira and Quick Heal. Never run two at the same time. Even though Quick Heal isn't in your running processes, it does show in your Startup list. I think you should uninstall it as it may conflict with Avira or cause other conflicts.

Hi Phantom, I had already uninstalled Quick Heal yesterday. As of now, my computer only has Avira and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware active. Is that ok to have these 2? or should I keep only one?
Anything else from the log that I should clean up on??

You still have traces of Quick Heal. You should uncheck it from your Startup list.

Avira and MBAM is OK.

You have too many Startup applications loading with Windows. This can significantly increase your Startup time.

You should definitely trim it down quite a bit. You have too many processes running in the background.

Click on Start > Run > and type msconfig.

Under the Startup tab, uncheck all unnecessary applications. Use these three websites to help you decide which items to uncheck:

Startup applications #1

Startup applications #2

Startup applications #3

Simply copy and paste the .exe files you see at the end of your HijackThis log's 04 (Startup) entries.

Remember, a lot of applications can be started manually when needed

Hi, that is done. I unchecked a lot of the unnesscary applications. It looks like some of them are Trojan something...now that I uncheck them, what does it do?
What do I do now? It looks like things are still a little bit in slow motion even I am in Normal Mode.

None of your Startup items are trojans. When consulting these websites for advice, you must make the right associations with the information they provide and the programs you have installed on your computer. The .exe files you see can either be legitimate - like the ones you have - but some viruses may also have those same .exe files.

I see. Thank you so much for the knowledge.

Now, is there any way my computer can run smooth? The images and video are in slow motion.

Sorry for asking silly question, if one computer is infected with virus, would the other computer be iinfected as well as they have the same IP address?

Thanks!!!!!
