Sounds like your video drivers are corrupted. Try downloading them from the manufacturers website and reloading them.

Can we just sum up the current problem:

1 Narrow Screen area?

Is this on the desktop -- or just with a browser, and is the computer a laptop? Does the monitor have screen width controls?

2 Slow or choppy Internet video?

What kind of bandwidth are you paying for, and what are you actually getting >>

Choose a server location near you for a test.

Hi Rollin' Dog, thanks for your reply.

In regards to the Narrow Screen - The computer has always been plunged in to a TV and played internet movie from a TV through the computer. It was working fine before until I ran the clean boot. The Window Desktop screen appears to be narrow. Now I plunged in the computer to a computer monitor instead of the TV, it looks fine - nothing looks narrow. Not sure why it looks narrow on TV.

In regards to the slow and choppy video - the video was playing very smooth before until I ran the clean boot. Now when I played the video, you can see everything are a bit slower and in slow motion. I am using SHAW high speed Internet with a modem.

Hi,

I had narrow down the problem in regards to the video. The video would only play slow and choppy when I full screen the video. If I don't click full screen, the video plays fine. How do I fix this problem??

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Is this problem only occurring on one internet video site -- or on different ones? What specifically are you referring to? What player is being used on the site -- Silverlight, Adobe Flash, or something else?

If you are talking about Flash video only try this >>

Flash Full Screen fix

1. Right-click in the standard youtube video window (non-full
screen).
2. Choose 'Settings...' from the Flash Player's pop-up menu.
3. Uncheck the 'Enable Hardware Acceleration'
4. Click 'Close'.

Or visa/versa if Hardware Acceleration is not enabled.

But you also need to verify your current bandwidth -- cable companies have issues from time to time and you may not be getting what you are paying for.

Hi Rollin' Dog, I don't think it is the Cable company issue as I have another computer at home and the video plays fine at all time.
I use Adobe Flash Player to play video, I tried uncheck Enable Hardware Acceration, it didn't work. I even uninstall Adobe Flash Player and download it - it didn't work.

I don't think it has something to do with the video setting, perhaps it may have something to do with the Window XP??
On desktop, I double clicked on a icon and then drag the top tab and move it around - you can see the slow motion as you are dragging the tab which is not normal. I believe if this problem is fix, then the video full screen slow motion problem would be fix also.

Any other idea??? or anything else I can describle to solve this problem??

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried updating your graphics card driver? Or, perhaps, uninstall and reinstall it?

Right-click on My Computer and select Properties.

Under the Hardware tab, click on Device Manager.

Find your graphics card in the list and right-click on it. Select Update Driver.
