I can't see the file names you're using but it looks like you're using the same file name as the Banana on the first pass ... ???

But should be Impossible to have two different files - with the same name .. in the same folder ??
Is this the problem ???

Looks like the thumbs.db file is not being updated, so when you rename apple to banana, it's using the thumbnail for the banana file.

I'd try deleting the thumbs.db file as loserOlimbs has suggested

Did you follow my recommendation?

Rename all folders as you wish, then delete the thumbs.db file.

Refresh the folder and what happens?

Hai loserOlimbs,

I am deleting thumbs.db file, but same problem, Image changes with file name.

This problem not only in my system.
If you copy that folder and paste into another system, that same problem persists.

I tested is 5 systems
@Noyb

I know there is no way to place two files with same name in same folder.
I am using two different names.

First, i replace the banana name as banana1 and then replace the apple as banana
when change the apple to banana, the image of banana applies to apple for thumbnail view.

Regards
bhanu

I tested in 5 systems...i think there is a coading..but in that folder there is no coading file.

Now you've done it .. I'm really curious
I'd like to see what would happen if you Emailed me an Apple and Banana.
I'll PM you my Email Address.

All that's left now is wild guessing ...
Any chance these are multiple layered tiff files or animated gif files ???

When I first read this problem .. It can’t happen ..
So you had to be doing something wrong??

Then you attached a video that can’t happen.

Now that you’ve sent me the folder, I’m wondering it you’re a Magician by trade.
It still can’t happen .. but it does.

You can fix this problem by opening each picture in a Viewer/Editor and Saving it to a new folder.
Dragging/Copying to a New folder just carries the problem .. (or magic)
I use Irfanview as my default viewer and editor.

I can't find the Trick used here.
As near as I can tell, There is no malware in this folder .. And it’s small enough to attach here.

Were did you get this folder .. Or how did you create it ???
You got any more Rabbits in your Hat ???
Attached Files
File Type: zip Apple To Banana.zip (71.8 KB, 5 views)
File Type: zip New.zip (204.5 KB, 4 views)

I'm not sure how it's done either, but the thumbnails are stored in the file itself. The original file is 14,877 bytes. If you save if from IrfranView, it's only 9,077 bytes.

All the internal markers seem to indicate it's a standard JPEG file. Perhaps it started life as a Multi-image format file.

I can't find the names of the other files inside the file (searched forwards, backwards, Ascii and Unicode), so how windows selects a thumbnail based on the name is a mystery to me.

Perhaps Bhanuk will give us some history on this mystery ...
Or is he going to keep this magic trick a secret

My new files went up in size .. I was thinking this was because I used no compression when saving.

That was a good one ... It's going in my list of puzzles to be solved ..
Right under Flying Saucers .. And how'd they build the Pyramids.

This would have been a good post for April the 1st.

Some experts say the blocks were "cast" from a liquid, and not chiseled from a quarry, this would sure answer some long unanswered questions.

Personally, I don't think they will ever know for sure.

Many years ago .. (about 10 years before I read Edgar Cayce) ..
I read a book about the Pyramids.
It said the leading legend was that the heavy lifting was done by 3 priests.

I'm now wondering if they were built by refugees from Atlantis .. Who had anti-gravity.
Perhaps they're still around messing with pictures in folders ... and flying Saucers.

They had est. 3 million slaves, I think it was done by mere mortals, Just because we cannot do it, doesn't mean 3 million slaves cannot.
