Win XP Photos appear on other file (type) folders
10-18-09 in Windows XP Professional:

Why would photos from My Photos appear on the thumbnail file folders of other types in My Documents? For instance, pictures from anywhere in My Pictures appear on a folder called My Spreadsheets, then on all of its subfolders. But this problem is across the board: the pictures are on ALL of my folders.

Do you know how I can remove them from the file folders where they do not belong? Even when I open up Properties of each of these folders and choose that they are simply plain yellow, pictures always start to appear on them right after I do that.

Is there a batch operation to force photos to simply stay in their My Picture file folders unless I use a folder's Properties to customize it?

Thanks!
