Let's get the startup load trimmed down of some of its unnecessary running programs and services.

Click Start - Run, type in MSCONFIG and then click OK - Startup(tab).

Remove the checkmark in

SunJavaUpdateSched C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\jusched.exe

TkBellExe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe

NvMediaCenter RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\NVMCTRAY.DLL,NvTaskbarInit

(Note: The .exe part of the name may not be present in your list)

After you're done, click Apply - OK - Exit Without Restart.

Click Start - Run, type in SERVICES.MSC and then click OK.

Expand the window so you can see the list more clearly.

Right-click on and then click Properties on:

Google Updater Service (gusvc) - Google

Java Quick Starter (JavaQuickStarterService) - Sun Microsystems, Inc.

NVIDIA Display Driver Service (NVSvc) - NVIDIA Corporation

Viewpoint Manager Service - Viewpoint Corporation

If "Startup Type" is set on Automatic, change it to Manual and then click Apply - OK.

(While you're still in the services list, change all entries to Manual that have "Startup Type" set on Disabled.)

After you're done, close the services window and then restart your computer.

When the small "System Configuration Utility" window appears, put a checkmark in that window and then click OK.

Post a new HijackThis log here.

Adobe Reader 6.0 is very outdated. If you use it to view PDF files, version 9.2.0 is available here.

These should be uninstalled:

Uniblue SpeedUpMyPC 2009

Viewpoint Manager

Viewpoint Media Player

Viewpoint Toolbar

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Don't install and use programs that claim to speed up, optimize, or clean your computer or the registry.

removed those 4. as for adobe reader, i rarely use it, i prefer firefox' s reader and do use it. Maybe you can tell me with all this tweaking, what does it have to do with video starting and stoping. Just now i tried one of those video clips and it still does the start and stop, or do we have to do more tweaking?

I was wondering when you were going to ask that question, or something similar to it.

I didn't really expect all this tweaking to resolve the problem, but you never know. We can stop if you want. I'm getting ready to go off-line for the night anyway.

Your uninstall list shows various video/codec-related programs and plug-ins installed, so I don't know if there may be a conflict there. K-Lite Codec Pack 5.3.4 Full is the only one that I use.

Well to be honest, I was thinking that you were looking for a specific file or program that may cause my problem..and also to see if i had a virus infected system. Now that you have seen 'my system' what is the verdict? Personally, i thought by the results, i was in pretty good shape, but then again, I know nothing about it. Tell me, what i don't like is adding more programs of anti this and that ,,,being that i already have aol's spyware, and avast...now with malware and superspyware too, isn't that an overkill and won't they conflict if i keep all of them? BTW, i certainly appreciate your patience

I was actually going to suggest you get rid of Spyware Blaster. The Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware "dynamic duo" will do fine for combating and controlling malware and spyware. And no, they won't conflict with Avast - which is for combating and controlling viruses and not malware and spyware.

With all the media players and video/codec programs that are installed in your computer, I still wonder if that's the problem with your video stuttering.

Give me a few minutes to go through your uninstall list and I'll get back to you.

------------------------------------------------------------

Here is what I can find in your uninstall list:

AVS Update Manager 1.0

AVS Video Converter 6

AVS4YOU Software Navigator 1.3

EZ Vinyl Converter 2.0.0 by MixMeister

Free Video to Mp3 Converter version 3.1

Free YouTube Download 2.2

GSpot Codec Information Appliance

Prism Video Converter

Video Padlock

VideoLAN VLC media player 0.8.6d

There may be others with names that I don't recognize.

You really need to browse through your "Add Or Remove Programs" list and get rid of what you don't use or need.
