I guess what I am asking is there a way for me to download the updates myself. It seems that the auto update is not working so I am thinking I could bypass it and just download the updates myself, or should I even worry about the updates. It looks like we have tried everything to get rid of Norton.

You could try the free Revo Uninstaller.

Thanks for ALL your help Phantom010 but that is getting a little past my skill level. All I could get to come up was my add/remove list which I had already removed Symantec/Norton. Thanks for taking the time to try and help.
