Lost windows password
Is it possible to retrieve or get round a log on password in windows xp? My girlfriend changed her password but must of misspelt it or something as she now cannot log on. Her old password doesn't work either which is why I think it did change but she accidentally spelt it wrong or something else has gone wrong. There are no other user accounts and it's wondows xp pro. Can I fix this without formatting the drive and reinstalling windows? and if not how do I go about that as it's a laptop and I can't seem to get the drive working used my leads to use it as an external drive on my pc. The ide cable is fine but there's no power plug. Can I plug the drive into my pc internally as a slave drive and retrieve her pics etc?
Thank you

as said we cannot help here bypassing - but something to consider - the password is case sensitive
so 1) did she have the caps lock on when she set the password - or 2) as I do a lot - capitalise the first letter of the word.....and forget I did that
