Exclamation INF failure. reason: the parameter is incorrec
can someone please help me, I'm trying to reformat my pc with my old XP pro cd and now im having the error message INF failure. reason: the parameter is incorrect and its really taking too long, I've left the installation overnight and checked the CD installer, it doesnt have scratches. Please help.

How much free space is there on the disk which you're trying to format to install XP Pro?

The Hard Disk is 80 GB and I tried adding a partition of half of it. no datas are stored on the HDD. Do you think the problem is my CD installer or maybe a hardware problem?
